TRACEABILITY
It means the place of origin, time of collection, plants conservation, packaging and method of transportation. Controlling this process the Chemotype remains properly preserved.
The Chemotype classifies which molecules are involved and defines its therapeutic use. Analysis Data Sheet accompanying the plant is checked and if the values correspond to our quality standards then we allow its entry into our facilities.
NO TESTED ON ANIMALS
We love our furry friends (and the not-so-furry ones, too!). The use of any ingredients tested on animals is completely denied in the development of our products. Of course, our products are never tested on animals, either.
RESPONSIBLE PACKAGING
All of our hard work would be lost if we used the wrong containers. We use glass bottle that preserve the quality of the formulas from the day they are bottled. Almudena and Mark are the founders of Hairwise.
They are believers in all that nature has to offer, as well as consumers and growers of organic products. Born, raised and professionally trained in Spain and Italy respectively, Almudena and Mark bring an innovative approach and surely decades ahead to the hair care industry. No detail is left behind when it comes to creating simply extraordinary products.
ALMUDENA RODRÍGUEZ
A BRIEF HISTORY
Throughout her career, Almudena earned a Master’s Degree in Homeopathy. As a dedicated pharmacist, she also held the position of Pharmaceutical Technical Director. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing and managing the technical aspects of pharmaceutical operations. Almudena has developed over 5,000 customized formulas using phytomedicinal plants, These formulations are specifically designed to address a wide range of skin, scalp and hair disorders. Her extensive experience and expertise in this area enable her to create tailored solutions that effectively target various conditions, enhancing both scalp health and hair quality.
Almudena has also helped many people with various symptoms by providing tailored homeopathic medicines in different diluted concentrations. These treatments aim to stimulate the body’s self-healing processes, improve overall well-being, and address the root causes of specific conditions.
Over the past 18 years, Almudena has owned two pharmacies, which have complemented her knowledge of medicinal plants and homeopathy.
MARK FABRIANO
A BRIEF HISTORY
Mark has had a distinguished career in the pharmaceutical industry since 1985, driving growth and supporting the international expansion of companies like Korff, Merck, and Sigma.
In 1994, Mark realized his idea of creating the first personalized treatments using phytomedicinal plants. He began a partnership with Almudena, a pharmacist and owner of her pharmacy, to bring his vision to life by developing tailored treatments for hair and scalp issues using customized phytomedicinal formulas to meet each individual’s unique needs. This partnership represents a pioneering effort in creating solutions specifically suited to each patient’s requirements.
In 1995, just a few months after beginning their collaboration, Mark’s vision had already become a reality. He pioneered a groundbreaking approach to treatment by developing customized formulas tailored to each individual’s unique needs, rather than applying generic solutions to everyone.
As demand grew for more personalized solutions, Mark recognized that the future of both medical and non-medical treatments lay in individualized care. His revolutionary idea reshaped the way treatments were designed—moving away from one-size-fits-all solutions and focusing on personalized formulas that address each person’s specific needs.
Mark said: «My inspiration came thanks to my grandfather, who taught me as a child how plants grow and heal themselves. Just as plants absorb only the nutrients they need to thrive or combat pests.This natural intelligence fascinated me and sparked a lifelong passion for harnessing the power of plants to promote healing. If this principle works so perfectly in nature, why shouldn’t it work for humans? This question became the foundation of my journey: to elaborate unique, customized phytomedicinal solutions tailored to each individual’s needs. Just as no two plants require the exact same conditions to flourish, no two people have the same hair and scalp needs».
Years later, on April 16, 1999, a brief article in The Wall Street Journal titled New Era of Personalized Medicine: Drugs Specific to Each Unique Genetic Profile introduced the term ‘personalized medicine’ to the public for the first time. Reflecting on this, Mark later said, “We were on the right track with our project”; that was the way forward.
Mark and Almudena, both experienced pharmacists, continue today, as they did from the beginning, to address hair problems through their extensive knowledge of medicinal plants and their healing properties. They have been doing this for over thirty years.
Mark’s collaboration with Almudena has been fruitful throughout their long-term partnership. Beyond their research and innovations, they have dedicated their expertise to helping people in both Europe and the United States, bringing effective solutions to those struggling with hair and scalp issues.
Mark is a visionary and passionate professional. His daily challenge is to create formulas from scratch to meet each patient’s needs. Since 1995, he has developed more than 1,000 customized formulas for hair and scalp-related problems. He was also the first to launch a nanotechnology shampoo.
