Phytotherapy to reduce hair loss due stress and anxiety

Part I: Ginseng & Eleutherococcus

Ginseng (Panax ginseng)
Ginseng is recommended for use as a tonic in the treatment of physical or mental exhaustion. It is also used in the treatment of anxiety, often along with other drugs with a sedative effect that helps control nervousness or insomnia, some of the most common manifestations of stress.

Ginseng is considered an adaptogen, meaning it can balance and exert a normalizing effect on different bodily processes, similar to Ashwagandha root.

Eleutherococcus (Eleutherococcus senticosus)
Eleutherococcus, also known as “Siberian Ginseng,” utilizes the roots for its greater ability to stimulate the immune system. The roots and rhizome of this plant are used for their pharmacological properties and indications, aiming to increase resistance to stress, reduce fatigue, and boost energy.

Regarding Ginseng, it is less stimulating than Eleutherococcus but better tolerated by those individuals who show sensitivity to it.
